Specifically, she's checking them to see if there are any from her own world, and if they have anything to do with black magic and necromancy. Fortunately there's only a book on summoning, which irks her, but isn't nearly as bad as the other two.
The rest she can't really make heads or tails of and she isn't planning on sticking around for long enough to really try. She's going to remember he had a lot of references to circles though, because as she glances at the walls again she's noticing they are showing up fairly often.
