Are there... lots of cities where you're from? [he looks thoughtful for a moment.] I always sort of assume it's like my world, but I might be completely wrong.

There's seven. [She'll start counting them off on her fingers.]

Fundi, Metaphor, Perpetia, Kyrie, Mactech, Volume and Ashvara. Aside from Kyrie and Perpetia, and Mactech and Volume the cities are pretty isolated from each other.

[--wait hold up.] There's a city named "Metaphor"?

..... Yeah. Why?

[Looking out the windows. Oh man, so much water.]

That just... seems like a strange name for a city.

[...says the guy who came from "Skeleton City". he'll look out the windows as she does, though, trying to get a view of the mainland.]

[Yeah really c: Euri just shrugs.]

It's the Witch capital, so it's really old.

[And now that she's actually said 'Witch' she feels the need to change the subject.]

Is this really the ocean?

[shrugging as well.]

It's got waves and a tide, so... I guess so.

.... It smells weird. [Too salty :c]

Oh. [a thought!] Have you never seen the ocean before?

[She shakes her head.] I've always stayed inland.

Well... this is it. Lots of salty water.

[he laughs a little.] It's not so interesting until you're under the water, or on the beach.

Why? What makes it different than a lake?

A lake is surrounded by land. Land is surrounded by oceans. Oceans are much larger. And since it's salt water, a whole bunch of animals live there that can't live in lakes...

[like sharks. and giant squids.]

[Yesss, following this line of logic and turning to stare out the windows again.]

Like really, really big animals?

Yeah! Like sharks and whales. [:D]

Oh.... [Too hick to know what sharks (even freshwater ones) and whales are, so she's trying to picture them.

... They look like giant fish :D;]

They must taste good.

They do. Whale is great. [close enough!]

Do you think they might have some in the city?? [They're getting pretty close now. Accord is actually quite big!]

Maybe...! [...looking out his window for realz now, seriously interested.]

Jeez. This place looks pretty big.

[It is big, very big, and very run-down looking. Immediately along the shore are harbors, and further down the coastline large factories can be seen. Though it generally looks run down and a little unsafe, far further inland and on higher elevations are more elaborate, Victorianesque buildings and trees.]

Yeah... it's huge.

[The tram doesn't go far into the city at all - there's a station right on the harbor where it will come to a smooth stop. So it looks like if they want to get out of the harbor and slums they'll have to walk through it themselves. c: However! There is a map in the tram station that outlines the major districts (Industrial [Harbor, Slums, Factories], Trade [including the Red Light district], Arts, Residential [Middle and Upper]).]

[Robin is so ready to go when the tram comes to a stop... he'll get up with a friendly tug at Euri's arm and head for the doors.]

Already way better than the other place.

[She's following him, but once they exit the tram she's a little more reluctant since the slum buildings nearby are huuuuge and look like they're stacked on top of each other.]

Wow....

[he's looking around too. he likes the look of it--mostly because it's very nostalgic.]

Seriously? Is this what the cities in your world look like?

The underground, yeah. Though the houses are carved out of the stone when they can manage it.

[he points upwards, towards those higher, Victorian style buildings in the distance.] But above ground, it looks more like those.
