(no subject)

[Euri isn't entirely sure what happened. One moment she was out in the forest, gathering some herbs for another batch of potions for her mother. She had managed to climb up one of the smaller giant mushrooms in other to gather some rare hanging dragon's breath, when everything suddenly changed. That mushroom changed into a metal street light, and all the trees had become huge, ugly brick buildings. From green to... greys and browns.

With a squeak of surprise she lets go of the street light, landing very unceremoniously onto the sidewalk and the contents of her basket ending up scattered all over. The only not completely terrible thing about her change in situations is that it's late evening and the street looks empty, so it seems no one saw any of that.

Several choice swears later Euri is pushing herself to her feet, glancing about thoroughly confused. What the fuck? She stays a deer in headlights for several minutes before she decides to do the first thing that comes to mind, and that is awkwardly moving to gather up her basket and its spilled contents.]

Right! [So considerate!! She will be grabbing a blanket and an umbrella, just in case, so she won't be taking long at all.]

[Hangs in the doorway, watching her bustle around and once she's done he'll hold the door for her ('8]

After you, my dear.

Thank you.~ [She steps out the door and onto the street, waiting for him.]

[Only takes a moment to lock the door again and then he's off again, slipping an arm around her shoulders as they walk ('8]

[She doesn't mind that! Especially when it's getting dark and she doesn't want to to get lost.]

How far do we have to walk?

A little ways past city limits. [Glances at the sun for a second, nodding a little]

We should get there right as they start coming out~

[She grins excitedly, nodding.]

Sounds good!

[And it is indeed quite a walk! Through all parts of town too, until the buildings start thinning out some. Grass starts poking through here and there. The occasional tree shows itself... Ran'll end up whistling through most of this, content to walk without conversation]

[She enjoys the whistling! It reminds her of home and how she'd hum or whistle or sing when doing basic chores. When the trees start appearing she's going to squint at them to try and see what species they are.]

[There's... all kinds of stuff alkjasdf elms and birches and apple trees and more... all of them are pretty young though so they're not too big, except on a few occasions. They will of course... get bigger and older the further out they get until suddenly they pass the last house and they're in a wide field with the line of trees just visible off in the distance]

[Once they get to the outside of the city Euri perks up considerably. It's hard for her to see but she's still excited to get out into the forest and being in the middle of nature.]

[...awww what a cutie *3*]

Excited, dear...?

Mm! It's nice to get away from all those buildings. [She is looking even more excited as they enter the trees.]

Mmhm. [Little nod... Much as he is a city person these days, the forest is still his original home on earth... it's nice to go back sometimes]

[BUT RIGHT SO. They get a few yards into the forest, and suddenly these lights start blinking into existence, more and more as time goes on, forming swirling patterns int the air around them. Ran is... quieter when he speaks again: ]

Ah good, they're here...

[It reminds her of home, really. Euri pulls away from Ran immediately, setting the blanket and umbrella aside so she can carefully step forward to examine the lights, lifting a hand gently as if to touch one.]

They're amazing....

[The light in question floats away from her hand... but is immediately replaced by three or four all swirling in a tight circle close to her skin. They probably tingle a little! Not unpleasantly, but enough to be noticeable]

[Ran meanwhile has one to settle in his palm, and he's... smiling faintly aww ('8]

They're sweethearts.

[She giggles and holds her hand still, watching the lights in awe.]

Mm! This is so beautiful!

[Eventually most of them will tire, swirling away from her. But one stays close, sitting on the edge of her wrist... seems there's a tiny little body in the middle of all that light!!!]

[There are a whole bunch who have started flying around Ran though, so he has to wave a few of them away when he looks at her again....... even though they come back a second later whoops]

I'm glad you like it, my dear.

[She's staying as still as possible, examining the light curiously before glancing at Ran.

... Oh Ran.]

They like you.

[There is indeed a tiny person in there when she looks, a thin little grey fairy moving around in the light]

[Ran cackles and shoos another handful away]
